In this video lesson, I give an overview of meditation, different types of meditation, what's happening in the brain and body as well as a bit on technique.

MODULE 2

LEARNING TO BREATHE

Up until now, you may have been unaware of the your breath. Sure, you know it's happening, but it's completely subconscious. In this module we'll learn how to subtly manipulate our nervous system through breathing techniques.

When we use the breath as a focal point of meditation, it drowns out the conscious voices and allows you to center. 

MODULE 3

MEDITATION POSTURE

It's not critical to have a perfect posture in meditation but it sure is helpful! Sitting still allows us to tap into our feelings and thoughts. Here's what we'll cover in this module:

THE OBSERVER

As we get deeper into observing our thoughts and feelings, use this technique to keep from being overwhelmed by emotions. This exercise teaches you to break the psycho-emotional loops of feeling and thinking.

All of our thoughts, conscious or subconscious trigger the feeling sets of our bodies. When we learn to create a bit of space between our thoughts and our feelings, we learn to control our human experience.

HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS

Higher Consciousness, Higher Self, Ascension, Higher Dimension, heaven... You name it, humans have come up with a name for the feeling in every tradition. All meditative traditions will lead to this space.
